View Full Version : Z's network?

Is it the general consensus that Zoom's Aero News Network is not
completely trustworthy? It would seem he is just re-posting news he
gets from some source. But I wonder if he doesn't "doctor up" the
articles himself. If he's doing that, then they should throw him off
the internet. I wonder if there is proof of him doing just that??
I've read his website, but I get the feeling he's censoring the news.
If so, he probably needs the Aero News Network as a sounding board to
keep his ability to post news in some fashion the way he wants it
posted. I wonder is there is another site like his that posts news
that isn't under an influence of someone of his character?

Are you always so prone to understatements? To say that the Aero News
Network is not completely trustworthy is the understatement of the
century. About the only thing you can really trust are the many
stories copied from news releases from other sources which are rarely
if ever credited to the source as is done in any real news source.
ANN, like his defunct printed Aviation Enquirer are little more than
aviation trash tabloids worth exactly what you pay for them...nothing.
I won't claim that to be the "general consensus" but will wager few
beyond "Yawn" will find substantial reason do disagree.

It's pretty clear that Campbell is a sleazeball of the first order but there
are other people involved in ANN also. I doubt that everything is done or
massaged by him. Most of the stuff appears to be simply reposting of press
releases and newswire stuff, simply enough to keep the front page fresh
enough to keep people having a peek. It's the hit numbers that allow the
site to lure advertisers. The site appears mostly innocuous enough, but it
doesn't offer much if anything fresh. The columns are all old and poor, lots
of promises for the future that I've seen for a long time. I've stopped
looking for the most part. There are other, better sources for real news.
Avweb is pretty good. Airwise has constant updates. There's lot's out there.

"throw him off the internet"? What the **** are you talking about? The
cure for bad speech is good speech, not censorship.
Fox News has a web site too.

Well yes, but I want exclusive aviation news. The networks seem to
grab the bigger stories, and have little interest in sport aviation.
I'm going to check out avweb, and see if they have similar types of
news. I suspect that ANN posts mostly news off the wire without
massaging it. But the problem is, the reader would have no way of
knowing which stories have been doctored up. I used to suscribe to the
US Aviator back in the 80's and it was a good magazine. Somewhere
along the way, Zoomer seemed to slip off beaten path and went down the
wrong one. But it's not unusual for insanity to manifest itself later
in life. One of the guys that used to fly with me on the airline used
to skydive with Zoom. And he said he was normal back then, and that
was back in either the late seventies or early eighties. But then
again, how normal is anyone who skydives :-)

Oh, I absolutely agree with that. The one issue that really has me
steamed is that issue in the Jacksonville area that bans building a
hombuilt in your own garage. That's one that needs to be overturned.
If other cities get wind of it, it could spread. If a builder was in a
shop that was not visible from the outside, it would be an
unenforceable rule. But not every builder has that setup.

What he does is when things get to hot he lays low and waits for things to blow
over .And since we Americans have a short attentive span we move on to other
things and by then he has a whole new group of newbies to impress with his bull.
So until he is held accountable for what he has done to people the best we can
do is to periodically expose him for the fraud that he is.

That article explains a lot. Unfortunately if he is really
schizophrenic then he will never have to answer for his crimes. All his
lawyer has to do is play the "crazy" card... At worst he will have to
spend some time in a loony bin. However any time he's in the loony bin
is time he isn't bothering anyone (on the outside...)
This also begs the question, it yuan crazy too?

Actually I don't think so but at times he exhibits many of the same traits as
his hero zoom. In my opinion jaun is an an extreme example of a wannabe just
like zoom is. Neither one of them have made any real contribution to aviation
and they envy those who did. So they drop names and hang around the edges trying
to bask in some of the glory that the true achievers have.
jaun can't get an assignment writing for the legitmate avaition press and zoom
will take anyone he can get. I notice that no legitimate free lance writers work
for zoom or if they do it's not for long. I also see that Kevin "hognose"
O'Brien is now gone .I wonder why? Also Idon't hear anything about Rutan or the
zero G business anymore from zoom . Is it possible they got wise to his
"Phoniness" ?
jaun gave up his credibility for zoom and he'll never get it back and his antics
here further prove that he's a loser trying to impress . Maybe he fixes
computers but so does every high school kid so I'm not impressed. But I also
know that jaun doesn't care whether I'm impressed or not so I'm sure he'll have
no comment.Basically he's a "YAWN"

Nahhh, Juan just likes stirring the pot. If you recall, a number of years back
he defended Paul Moller and the Moller Skycar the same way he talks about Zoom.
ISTR others have mentioned that he does the same kinds of things in other

Agreed he does enjoy stirring the pot but to the extent he does it with totally
illogical reasoning seems bizzare. If he does the same thing on other groups, to

Jaun is little more than a child starved for attention and is willing
to take that attention even if it means he has to take the role of
Court Jester to get it. You are 100% right, he will take side of the
Zoomsters, Moller, Bede, or whomever will draw him the most flack and
attention. The absolute worst thing you can do to Jaun is ignore him.
He wants your response and the madder he can make you the better.
Ignore him and you take away his purpose and eventually he will go
away.

One of the "prototypes" was for sale not long ago on E-Bay and someone
jokingly asked in the group if the tower and tether game with the prototype.
I said, "I don't know let's ask." And I did. Here was the answer.

No, it does not come with the tether and the tower. We
have flown it without the tether but only rarely. It has flown only within
our propery, which is about 4 acres.

Thanks Chuck
You run into people with narcissistic personality disorder all the time
in a big corporation, in middle and senior management levels, because
they are such superb actors and manipulators. I used to work for one.
Even though I knew he hated my guts and tried to get me fired for
challenging him in a meeting, when he left the department and came
around for goodbyes he turned on the charm and left me thinking "gee,
what a nice guy".
One hallmark of these people is you can't get them mad by insulting
them, because other people are just objects and their opinions mean
nothing. The only thing that gets them angry is doing something to get
in their way somehow, like obstructing a goal. Then the mask comes off
and the rage starts. This guy was famous for exploding at meetings when
triggered by some kind of bad news.

Just FYI ~ the Zoom is a documented liar. It's not about
censorship...it's about a scumbag who lies to his readers, defrauds
advertisers, claims to be a Purple Heart Vietnam Veteran but didn't
step one inch "In Country," cannot back up his flying claims with
logbooks, has impersonated a 747 pilot for Japan Air Lines, has
impersonated a doctor, has prescribed medicine without a license,
attempted an unauthorized parachute jump from the World Trade Center
and resisisted arrest when Law Enforcement tried to stop him, had
committed perjury, has flown dangeriously, has had his medical pulled
for personality disorders and Schizophrenia, has stalked his ex-wife
and ex-fiance, has stalked employees and fellow workers he has had
gripes with, called Social Services on people he had disagreements with
and alleged child abuse, is alleged to have turned an enemy in to the
Secret Service with a false claim of a Threat against the life of the
President; and on and on and on...thirty years plus of his crap.
No way is this censorship. This is about bringing a criminal to
justice and halting his negative influence over others, including the
young. This is about halting a "Cowboy" Aviator who wipes his ass with
the Law, the FARs and anyone he chooses on the spur of the moment.
Also, if he has nothing original to offer and only rehashes Press
Releases that others are publishing anyway, what has been
censored...what has been lost...other than a piece of filth who was of
a human life.

Zoom is motivated by greed and gloryhounding. It's the greed angle
that will trip him up and get him launched into a Federal Penitentiary.
The Judge will see right through the Schizo act and beyond that, Jimbo
the Rocket Clown has had over thirty years to get effective help and
hasn't.
Yawn is also driven by personal profit and gloryhounding of his own.
Why else would a U.S. Marine sell out Vietnam Veterans by supporting a
Poser claiming to be one, even wounded in action, when he never stepped
foot "in country." Well, both are liars, and Aesop said:

Your right zoom can be a charmer you also right in that insulting them really
doesn't bother them unless it's as you say getting in the way of a goal.He has
no sense of responsibility for any of his actions nor any compassion for those

There is no law against lying on the internet. There is no law against
being a scumbag on the internet. If there were, there would be a lot
fewer sites.
Prosecute or sue him for the things he does which are against the law

He's just plain sick. The aviation community is relatively small, and
with more types like him running around, it could cause harm. I'm glad
there's not more like that idiot running aviation websites, magazines,
ect.. One sick-oh is enough in that position.
There's no way he could have been in Viet Nam, he's too young.
By the time he was old enough, everyone was coming home, (Circa 1975)
He probably wasn't old enough then. I'm surprised he hasn't claimed
he's seen UFO's also. Or been abducted by them. That's a favorite
line used by those desperate for attention. Which he obviously is.
I can remember reading his magazine when he was whining about his wife
leaving him. I can only imagine what she'd say about what it was like
being married to him. Those sick types can usually hide their mental
sickness long enough to suck in the unsuspecting, but the poor other
half always figure it out and can't get away fast enough. Back then,
he was blaming his mairage breakup on all the mean people that were
attacking him because he was telling the "truth" about problems with
their products. One being the Capella. He was trying to give the
impression that all the other magazines were lying because they didn't
want to scare away advertisers, and his mag would tell it like it is.
Some of that probably does exist, but looking back, his magazine was
not the place to find truth either.

Fraud is against the Law on the internet and consitutes and/or involves
the use of lying.
> Prosecute or sue him for the things he does which are against the law

Absolutely, this is the better way, because he can be denied internet
access from a Judge since it contributes to his crimes, and
incarcerated and kept from his computer or any other, for having abused
the use of the same. Fine him so that he can't afford computers,
internet services, nor even a few minutes at an internet cafe. Perhaps
teach him a lesson so he doesn't repeat his crimes.
I totally agree with you on your point immediately above and that's
what I'm progressing towards in regards to both him and his boss.
Others have been fighting Campbell, his boss, in the Courts for years
and will succeed eventually.
Either way, by Law, by act of Law, by act of a Judge, I envision both
men will be "thrown off the internet," just not in the manner implied
that you can go to a server and have them dismissed.
Only a Judge can order such a sentence and they have to commit a Felony
to lose their Constitutional Rights in a Court of Law. Misdemeanors
won't do it.

Kinda like when you claimed here that zoom was surreptitiously taking pics
of you, when in fact he was in the wide open? LOL!
That's ok, though. In my opinion I'd rather claim traits from Zoom than from
people whose children have to sue them to get paid for honest work, or who
have family members who abuse drugs and/or their children and have them
taken away, or who can claim heroes die in things they build. :)

As opposed to your status as a documented, time-proven, yellow-striped

Or, better yet, that he has piloted them!

Don't quit your day job to practice law, because you suck at it. Lying
is not the sole constituent of fraud. There has to deception for personal
gain. And it has to be pretty cut-and-dried that "lie A" resulted in
"theft B", not just that you told a lot of lies to make people think
you're a big man, and that caused people to trust you who shouldn't have.
Saying "I was in Viet Nam" on a web site is not fraud. Saying "I was in
Viet Nam" in an application for vets benefits is fraud. Saying "I'm a
doctor" in a bar to pick up women isn't fraud, but saying "I'm a doctor"
and offering to perform a medical exam is fraud.
Bill O'Reilly tells worse lies every day, and all that happens to him is
that Al Franken writes books about him.

He was in the wide open I never said he wasn't but he did take a picture of me
and Bink in our booth. zoom printed those photos on ANN and you know it.

OK prove what you just said . When did my kids EVER sue me . Prove it !! It
never happened. Now that's a true zoom trait, make a snide accusation then refuse
to back it up .Lets have some proof of what you just said if I got sued there
would be a court record prove it...

>have family members who abuse drugs and/or their children and have them

Must be someone else your talking about how about proving that one as well?
There would be Court records for this as well. I could say the same thing to you
and say...In my opinion your gay and your wife is a hooker and your son sleeps
with sheep now prove otherwise.
>or who can claim heroes die in things they build. :)
Maybe you think a hero dying is funny I don't .Read the probable cause from the
NTSB

Nothing to laugh about .zoom being wide open was never an issue,he was in the
open took the picture and posted it on ANN .set match.

We been thru this before, I guess you have a short attention span. Once again
I'll ask the so called self proclaimed journalist to prove what you just said.
If my kids sued me then there'd surely be Court records .We have Court records
of zooms lawsuits so show me the records of these lawsuits. Be sure that more
then the last names are the same. Facts just the facts please, save the snide
remarks for your mother.
>or who can claim heroes die in things they build. :)
I don't think that a hero dying is funny at all and the NTSB probable cause and
narative say it all. Don't be so smug because as soon as you sell your none
flying airplane your neck will be stuck out as well and Karma has a way of
getting even...You may wish you made a wind tee out of it. I hope you and zoom
get everything you deserve.
I eagerly await your proofs.

Franken is as big a liar as anyone, the difference is he's
constantly vulgar when he does it. I lost a lot of respect for him when
I realized he can't make a cogent argument without spewing filth.

Wrong, putz. You claimed you saw him changing lenses. We had two lenses that
entire show, I was using one, he was using the other. You got punk'd. Deal
with it. <chuckle>

All bark, no bite. We've been waiting for you to get your "ducks in a row"
for years now. You're nothing but a two-bit putz, ChuckSteak. :)
